Raise royal domains, limestone castles and banners of cavalry.

Home/Factions/Kingdom of France

The French settlement expresses the wealth and authority of expanding royal domains. A limestone donjon, royal granary, cathedral school and guarded Seine wharf turn the city into more than a castle backdrop: it becomes the administrative and economic base of a growing crown.

Royal Spearmen and Crossbowmen support Men-at-Arms, Mounted Serjeants and eventually Knights of the Banner. France’s identity favours the image of decisive mounted campaigns, but a successful ruler still needs production, scouting, walls, diplomacy and reliable allies before committing valuable troops.

About playing France

Can I represent France from the start?

Yes. France is a fully playable faction. Found a French realm, create heraldry and compete for provinces, rankings and the seasonal crown.

Is France only focused on cavalry?

No. Cavalry is a visible part of its identity, but crossbows, infantry, scouts, siege engines, trade and city policy all matter.
