Decisions continue on the server
Construction, production and timed world actions continue through the persistent server. A ruler can issue an order, leave the realm and return to the consequences rather than resetting an isolated session.
Armies have destinations and arrival times
Scouting, raids, sieges, trade and reinforcements connect cities through visible map actions. March timing gives rival rulers and allies a chance to respond before an operation is resolved.
Taking land is only the beginning
Occupation, garrisons, tribute, approval and rebellion extend province warfare beyond one successful attack. A realm must be able to defend and administer what it claims.
